VERDIGRIS - KINETIC

VERDIGRIS is the color of the patina that covers copper surfaces. Its noble green, streaked with gray patches, recalls wind-blown sea salt on the roofs of Mediterranean houses. Here, the classic freshness of citrus has been assigned only a secondary role — where proud Italian lemons and oranges are usually center stage, they are here merely a discreet backdrop. VERDIGRIS deconstructs the classic chypre and brilliantly reassembles its traditional elements. The silky floral bouquet — freesia, rose and reseda — is studded with spicy notes of nutmeg and coriander. On their base, the humid, shimmering calone is transparent, almost white. Not sweet, but appetizing. Expressive, but not overtly woody. Ethereal, yet resonant. VERDIGRIS, a salt as icy as snow.

Is a sea without blue possible? VERDIGRIS plays with the idea of sea water on an entirely new plane, shifting the concept toward land. Here, the sea is born at the intersection of sky, air and sun.
