VERDIGRIS - KINETIC

VERDIGRIS is the color of the patina that covers copper surfaces. Its noble green, streaked with gray patches, evokes the salt blown by the ocean wind onto the roofs of Mediterranean houses. Here, the classic freshness of citrus has been given only a secondary role — where proud Italian lemons and oranges are usually the focus, they act here as a discreet backdrop. VERDIGRIS deconstructs the classic chypre and masterfully reassembles its traditional elements. The silky floral bouquet — freesia, rose and mignonette — is studded with spicy notes of nutmeg and coriander. On their base, the moist, shimmering calone is transparent, almost white. Not sweet, but appetizing. Expressive, but not overtly woody. Ethereal, yet resonant. VERDIGRIS, a salt chilled like snow.

Is a sea without blue possible? VERDIGRIS plays with the notion of seawater on an entirely new plane, shifting the concept toward the land. Here, the sea is born at the intersection of sky, air and sun.
