In the middle of a misty nocturnal garden, a rose exhales its most beautiful fragrance. The air is stormy, stirring the darkest scents of nature… ROSE TONNERRE was born from a personal project by Edouard Fléchier. A new base, a kind of olfactory sketch, which he presented to Frédéric Malle, and which reproduced the scent of a Périgord truffle. This blend of dark, woody, and animal notes was intended for men's perfumery, but the two collaborators had the idea – seemingly paradoxical – to marry it with the quintessentially feminine note: the rose. In the hands of the master perfumer, the queen of flowers becomes black, sensual. Enchanting.
