SPIRITO - MEO FUSCIUNI
Cycle of metamorphosis
I was searching for a single body, I wanted only the harmony around me and the timeless delicacy of its scent, of its Spirit. I wanted none of the chosen notes to overpower the others.
I wanted a timeless perfume, where the gaze would lose itself in the olfactory memory of that journey, in a place I have never seen. Where only spirits can arrive.
I longed to escape, to get away one spring or summer day, but I could not, so I imagined a large field of grass in the wind; I wanted to recreate a place I had never seen, and I was accompanied by the poetry of Emily Dickinson, her words, her visions. I saw this place, I felt it mine and close to me.
"I went to a place I had never seen,
beyond that place I could only imagine.
Now I am here, among perfumes not spoken aloud,
but in the lived spirit, where I have never been, nor you,
perhaps, only souls.
Yet I was there, smelling the scents and watching the edges of the wood".
I was searching for a solitary body, I wanted only the harmony around me and the timeless delicacy of its scent, of its Spirit. I wanted a timeless perfume, where the gaze would lose itself in the olfactory memory of that journey, in a place I have never seen. Where only spirits can arrive.
