Climbing to its perch in the morning sky, the African sun cuts through a mountain range to caress a wide, flat rock, baking it to a gentle warmth. From the shadow of a narrow crevasse, a family of hyraxes emerges, warm dust dulling the luster of their golden fur. They settle on the warm expanse of rock to take their ritual sunbathing, but always remain vigilant. The shadow of a soaring eagle rushes across the ground.
