The production of Etruscan water
The inspiration for Etruscan water comes from two different sources. The first is a personal memory: having been born and raised in Tuscany, we could go to the beach in the south of the region, where our ancestors, the Etruscans, lived hundreds of years ago.
To access the most amazing little coves, well hidden and offering the clearest water, you had to walk 30 minutes through the woods.
These woods are full of wonders! The scent of typical Mediterranean vegetation is charming and, if you're lucky (or unlucky...), you might come across a wild boar - or even remnants of Etruscan civilization.
The salty and refreshing scent of the sea soothes you from the heat of the sun warming your skin.
The second source of inspiration is my personal research on the masterpieces of perfumery, as I have recently been intrigued by classic masculine colognes based on citrus - not the lightest ones, but those that have a strong character.
It is the first version of the FREEFALL line, which paves the way for new directions in my work.
Chester Gibs' interpretation
The time bomb
Your life has arrived
People can come, people can go
As long as the water is slow
But be careful when you are
On the way to the waterfall
The solid ground is only a love away
A warm sun and a place to lie down
I see your future
The water above you is calm and clear
People can come, people can go
As long as the water is slow
But be careful when you are
On the way to the waterfall
Etruscan Water by Francesca Bianchi reminds me of several of my first "masculine" perfumes that I bought when I was a teenager. Ikebana by Silvia Barucci inspired by the fragrance Etruscan Water by Francesca Bianchi.
and these perfumes were for me the beginning of a dive into new waters: adulthood, love, sex, romance, adventure.
I have always loved to dress up - and in this drawing I made while wearing and sniffing the Etruscan Water, I depicted young me, undressing himself as he prepares to enter new unknown waters.
Here is a beautiful Ikebana that Silvia Barucci created to represent my Etruscan water.
I love the combination of flowers, white and green, the transparent vase, the flower in the water, and the beautiful background of stones, reminiscent of Etruscan tombs, and also, in a way, the salty part of the fragrance.
