DOMM - FILIPPO SORCINELLI

Inspired by the drawers of the sacristy of Milan Cathedral.

It is called the "aquilonare," from the Late Latin aquilonaris, meaning "north." This is the old sacristy of Milan Cathedral, the first core of the cathedral built from 1386, in the heart of an urban center crowded with buildings. It is the first place constructed after the laying of the cathedral's first stone. Besides its precious marbles, sculptures, and frescoes, the sacristy is full of furniture and drawers and is still used today by priests to dress before sacred rites.
